Evolution (Electronic Security Systems) has officially launched US operations, establishing a presence in Austin, Texas, and appointing Shannon Ritchie as Country Manager — USA. The announcement marks the most significant step in Evolution’s international growth strategy to date, and one that has been shaped by the demands of the clients we already serve.
For years, the organisations we protect across the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, and beyond have asked the same question: when will Evolution be available in the United States? The answer, effective now, is: we already are.
Why the United States, and Why Now?
Evolution’s US expansion is not a speculative land-grab. It is a deliberate response to genuine client demand.
Many of the world’s largest organisations operate on both sides of the Atlantic. The global financial institutions, hyperscale data centre operators, and pharmaceutical companies we protect in Europe also run significant operations in the United States. They have long recognised the value of Evolution’s approach – our technical rigour, our vendor-agnostic outlook, and the accountability that comes with an employee-owned structure. Introducing Shannon Ritchie: Country Manager — USA
Leading Evolution’s US operations is Shannon Ritchie, an industry professional with over 17 years’ experience in the electronic security and life safety sector.
Shannon brings a rare combination of technical depth and commercial expertise. His background spans access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, fire alarm, mass notification, and integrated security solutions across commercial, enterprise, and critical infrastructure environments. Notably, he spent more than 11 years at a global systems integrator, rising to Business Development Manager for the Global Cloud and Data Center Vertical Market Team — a background that maps directly onto the high-stakes, high-complexity environments that Evolution specialises in.
Based in Austin, Texas, Shannon is Evolution’s direct point of contact for US organisations, from initial consultation and requirements scoping through to system design, installation, and long-term support.
